SCSM sends email to employees or support staff to notify them on the progression of a request or issue.

The sending of an email is via an SMTP relay. However, as SCSM sends and email, it encapsulates the ticket number in the “Title” of the email. Should the user respond, the ticket will be updated and an analyst will see the users comments.
