SCOM holds IP Address and MAC Address against each device it is monitoring.
When the data is absorbed into SCSM, it becomes usable. IE: should a user complain that their Computer is not working, out of the ticket, it is possible to ping the Computer and ensure the issue is not network related. SCOM Connector for Monitoring is also supported so alerts which require a ticket can automatically feed into the Service Desk and create a P1 ticket etc…
