The Role

  • Consulting Services
  • Microsoft Azure Services and Solutions
  • Microsoft System Center

These services are underpinned by our service centre in Belfast working with customers in Central Government, Health, Defence, Local Government, utilities, industrial engineering, and the private sector. We have embraced Microsoft Azure as the cloud platform of choice and continue to invest in our ability to maximise that opportunity.

To continue to provide a leading managed service, we are looking for an experienced 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer for the support, development, and improvement of our current service offerings. You will be responsible for the installation and maintaining of computer hardware and software systems for a wide range of businesses, in both the private and public sectors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acting as a key point of contact for the Business, you will have a high level of interaction with internal stakeholders.
  • Aiding with the deployment and migration of business-critical applications, predominantly working with SCCM/MECM.
  • Working with Active Directory to migrate users and aid with application deployment.
  • Working with the latest Microsoft Cloud Technologies, including but not limited to Azure AD.

In addition to the above duties and responsibilities the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility to the post.

Skills and qualities required

  • Someone who can hit the ground running and adapt to a close-knit team lead environment
  • Key business application deployment experience is essential
  • Windows 10 deployment experience is essential
  • Experience with SCCM/MECM is essential
  • Experience within a large-scale tech lead organisation
  • Azure AD experience is essential
  • Microsoft Server Certified
  • A fundamental technical understanding of Microsoft Technologies including Server 2008+, Active Directory and GPO
  • 3 years+ experience of providing IT support services or equivalent experience of customer facing technical services
  • Previous experience of infrastructure deployment, ideally within managed IT services using SCCM/MECM
  • Administration and maintaining experience of SCCM/MECM
  • MSI Application Knowledge

Skills and qualities desired

  • Experience of SAN Technologies
  • VBScripts/Powershell
  • Previous experience of working with Cisco networking technologies (TCP/IP Concepts and Troubleshooting) where applicable

Education/Qualifications in one or more of the following

  • Microsoft, Hyper-V, Commvault or other relevant certifications

  • A high level of self-motivation together with a willingness to learn new skills
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to the job
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Can demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service and care
  • Good communication, organisation, and presentation skills
  • Strong time management and coordination skills
  • A full driving license – preferably clean, however consideration will be given to people with low number of points

Additional Information

As this role requires access to a high level of confidential information security checks will be completed at induction.

Training

Internal training on products and services will be provided. However, employees are expected to consistently keep abreast of new developments, which would impact on his/her areas of responsibility. Personal training in relation to job description will be given as part of the company’s overall personnel development program.

Conditions of Employment

The salary and benefits for this position will be determined according to the experience of the person appointed.

General Guidance

The nominal working week is 37.5 hours, although a degree of flexibility is both offered and expected. In specific circumstances there may be a requirement to work additional hours. Annual holidays are 21 days plus 8 statutory holidays. Cased Dimensions is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
